David is the Managing Director of Macil Group, a Melbourne based Investigation firm servicing all of Australia. David has over 25 years experience in insurance investigations both nationally and internationally. Services offered include, Factual Investigations, Surveillance, Litigation Support, Due Diligence, Locates and Workplace Bullying and Harassment Investigations. David has also been involved in conducting high profile investigations for large organizations. David also holds qualifications in Occupational Heath & Safety and Risk Management. In his spare time David enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, going to the football and travel.   David is excited about his appointment to the Board and is eager to contribute to the success of the Council.

Sachit Kumar is a second generation investigator and businessman, directing the operations of Globe Detective Agency in New Delhi. He is Commerce graduate from Bangalore, India and Post Graduate in Business Administration from the Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow. Thereafter, he joined Globe Detective Agency Private Limited in 1987. Over the years, he has contributed immensely in the growth of the Globe Group. As its name implies, Globe is world renowned in investigation matters. Globe is India’s first and largest Investigation Agency, currently having 5000 employees and 20 branches all across India. He was awarded the Investigations – Entrepreneur of the Year award by Mr. Shivraj Patil, Honourable Home Minister of the Government of India in Bangalore in the year 2008. He was also awarded Lifetime Achievement Award in Investigations by Smt. Pratibha Patil, former President of India in New Delhi in the year 2012. Sachit was a member of the CII Executive Board and was an organizing host of the 61st AGM Conference at New Delhi in the year 2015. He also serves as the Vice Chairman of the APDI (Association of Private Detectives and Investigators).He is the Director of the Globe Group and currently based in New Delhi, India.

Toine Goorts, CII, CPU is the owner of Goorts Onderzoek & Consultancy, a small flexible company specialized in IP related investigations, insurance fraud and due diligence. For 20 years Toine was an investigator / surveillance operator with theKoninklijke Marechaussee ( Dutch Military Police)  and for the last 10 years a member of the BSB, a Special Unit that fights heavy crime and terrorism internationally. One of the other tasks of the BSB is providing Close Protection details to Members of State, Ambassadors, Attachés. Toine has been a team leader with the surveillance teams and CP teams, both nationally and internationally during which time he made a lot of interesting trips and met a lot of international VIP’s .  Since 1999 Toine has worked a Private Investigator and started his own company in 2004. As a former Assistant Prosecutor I am really interested in LAW and therefor still trying to gain as much as possible knowledge of the interaction between the Law and the Private Investigation regulations.

 Christopher T. Nielsen has specialized in corporate and insurance/personal injury claims for over twenty-nine (29) years.  His firm, Nielsen & Associates - Investigations Inc.,based in Toronto Ontario,  was incorporated on July 24, 1996.  He began his career in January of 1988, working for 6 ½ years for Scope Investigations (formerly P. J. Wraight Investigation Agency) and 2 ½ years at King Reed & Associates Investigation Services.  Mr. Nielsen, has been a certified member of the Council of International Investigators (C.I.I.), since January 2009. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2017.  Mr. Nielsen is also a member of Council of Professional Investigators - Ontario Chapter (CPIO). He was elected Director of Government Relations in 2015. His term will end in November 2017. He is also a member of Brampton Board of Trade and CASIU (Canadian Association of Special Investigations Unit

Bob Fenech

San Francisco USA

Bob Fenech, a native San Franciscan - 3rd generation - has owned and operated Barbary Coast Investigations & Security since 1995.  He is licensed in private investigations as well as a security.  Prior to opening Barbary Coast, Bob worked in law enforcement for the City & County of San Francisco for 25 years. Bob had a varied career, two years in the jail and one year in the courts in downtown San Francisco; and then 22 years in field operations as a patrolman and a sergeant, primarily assigned to duties at the San Francisco International Airport.  Bob attended City College of San Francisco for two years and then enlisted into the US Army National Guard in 1969 where he served for six years, as a National Guard reservist obtaining the rank of E-5 sergeant. After active duty in 1970 Bob attended San Jose State University for two years. Bob also attended the San Jose Police Academy for officer training and in 1985 for Supervisor.  Barbary Coast Investigations, headquartered in San Francisco, offers clients general investigations and specializes in Executive Protection. All officers working in the executive protection detail are former or active police officers. In addition to his involvement in CII, Bob is a member and two time president of the Lions Club in San Francisco. Bob is also member of CALI, NCISS, and is also member in good standing of the San Francisco Olympic Club.

 Maurice Amres is owner and CEO of GEB Security Services Inc. and has well over 30 years of security related experience. GEB’s services include provision of guards for Embassies etc. cash escorts, executive VIP protection, marine river patrols, electronic alarm & CCTV installations with monitoring, local and foreign investigations including insurance frauds, back ground checks etc. Over the years, Maurice has selflessly and actively been involved in organizing and promoting of international sports in Guyana such as marathon and regattas, also Eco-Tourism etc. Maurice previously served as a member on the CII Board in 2005 and says he has found CII to be an excellent vehicle with respect to contacts with security professionals in well over 60 countries. Membership of CII must be considered as an important supplement to security investigations and a special opportunity for meeting our counterparts with the possibility of developing long lasting relations. It is therefore a pleasure to serve once again in this august body.

Howie Griffiths is the third generation owner of SSC (established in 1962) and has been in business for nearly 60 years making us one of South Africa’s oldest security investigation concerns. SSC a Pan-African corporate intelligence firm headquartered in Johannesburg South Africa offers professionally delivered, bespoke Business Intelligence & Security Solutions to clients in all sectors of the emerging markets in Africa and Globally. Howie Griffiths has been actively involved in the South African security industry for over 35 years and has been personally involved in some of the company’s largest cases. These include investigations into matters involving grand fraud, industrial espionage, counter intelligence and surveillance. Howie Griffiths is also the co-owner SSC Training that provides Hostile Environment Awareness Training (H.E.A.T.) courses to corporate travelers to prepare themselves with the self-reliance and survival knowledge necessary to address risks and challenges inherent in operating in unfamiliar and hostile environments with confidence. A graduate of the South African Institute of Security (SAIS), he was also past chairman of the Gauteng Branch of the South African Security Association (SASA,) where he sat on SASA’s National Council. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, South African Chapter. At the 2018 CII Annual General Meeting held in Hong Kong 28th August through September 1, Howie Griffiths was elected to the International CII Board. Howie also retains his CII Africa Region 3 Director position which he has held for the past 2 years.

Nancy S. Barber founded Glass Key Investigations in 1988. Glass Key Investigations provides investigative services for matters involving toxic tort, environmental, land use, elder abuse and civil litigation. The firm conducts corporate research, witness locate and trial support. Ms. Barber holds a Forensic Environmental Investigation Certification., B.A. in Spanish, a M.A. in Latin American Studies, a Paralegal Certificate and a nursing home ombudsman certification. She has served as in instructor in environmental law and paralegal training. Glass Key Investigations was awarded fees in a public land use action filed in U.S. District Court case in which the firm donated pro-bono services to a plaintiff's action against the federal government. Ms. Barber is a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI), National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI), Council of International Investigators (CII) and National Council of Investigation and Security Services (NCISS).

Melissa Kelley-Hilton is the President of Bishops Services headquartered in New York with five offices in the United States and international offices in India and the Philippines. Bishops Services is the oldest due diligence firm in the United States. Melissa has 18 years of experience in corporate due diligence and background Investigations. In addition to her affiliation with the Council, she is a licensed private investigator by the New York Department of State and a Certified Fraud Examiner and member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She has been recognized by numerous groups for her excellence in business and investigations, such as: M&A Advisor as a winnerof the 7th Annual Emerging Business Leaders Awards in 2016; Corporate Vision Magazine’s Businesswoman Award for Best Woman Run Company (USA); Stevie Awards: Maverick of the Year Bronze Winner 2017; Colorado Biz Magazine Top 25 Young Professionals and Influential Businesswoman Awards: Information Services EVP of the Year, 2018.

Panama City, Panama

Brett is the owner and director of BMI, Inc. an Investigation firm based in the Republic of Panama, servicing most of Latin America.  He first came to Panama in 1990 as a U.S. Army Interrogator and was assigned to the 470th MI Brigade, the unit assigned to exploiting intelligence relating to Manuel Antonio Noriega and his Defense Force used primarily by the IRS and the DEA for his prosecution.  In 1994, he left the service to explore the Private Investigations Field and has assisted world leaders, celebrities and major corporations with Surveillance, Insurance Fraud, Due Diligence, Intellectual Property and Locate Investigations.  Brett recently became involved with the creation of the Freedom and Human Rights Museum, being constructed in the Republic of Panama and dedicated to celebrating, monitoring and defending human rights, their liberties and democratic values internationally.  He dedicates his weekends and other free time towards family, but also has a passion for the outdoors, especially camping and fishing.  Brett is honored to having been elected President of the world’s most prestigious investigation association and is intent on contributing positively towards its education and business growth.

Galen R. Clements spent twenty-six years in Law Enforcement with the Philadelphia Police Department as a member of the SWAT Unit and Burglary/Robbery Squads and the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office holding positions/ranks that included Detective, Detective Sergeant, Director of Investigations and Supervisor of the Dangerous Drug Offenders Unit (DDOU) in the Narcotics Enforcement Division. Mr Clements frequently testified as a fact and expert witness in the use of electronic surveillance methods in prosecuting Corrupt Organizations; money laundering and white collar crimes and managed a large staff of Law Enforcement Agents during sophisticated/complex investigations at the Federal, State and Local levels.  Mr Clements has extensive training and professional credits in relation to Criminal Investigations; Narcotics Enforcement and Economic Crime and he is a member of many professional organizations including the Law Enforcement Intelligence Unit (LEIU); Army & Navy Club (RAG) in United Kingdom; the Council of International Investigators (CII); National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI), World Association of Detectives and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.  Mr  Clements earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration and served three tours in the Republic of Vietnam while in the United States Army.
