GEB Security Services Incorporated
COMPANY PROFILE

GEB, the ever private security service established in Guyana, has recently celebrated its 35th
Anniversary in business. With those years behind us and our efficiency and knowledge in security with no major consequence, GEB has earned the reputation of being the foremost security company in Guyana.
GEB started off as the Guyana Employment Bureau, where persons were interviewed registered and channeled to potentially suitable jobs, depending on their qualifications and experience. With the constant requests for “watchmen”, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of this company Mr. Maurice Amres, saw the need to investigate fully the possibility of organizing a fully fledged security service with up-to-date facilities and systems. This was put into action after visits to various top private security companies overseas and in 1967, GEB Security Services Limited came into effect, starting off with contracts from Taylor Woodrow and Wimpy who were at the time building the Pegasus Hotel (GEB is still there) and the Cable and Wireless Tropo Project. Incidentally, GEB have been providing Le Meridien Pegasus with varied security operations from 1967 right to the present – 2003.
GEB has steadily and noticeably expanded since and has in place a well structured and very experienced

Management team. We have provided Baton, Canine and Armed Service to Embassies, High Commissions, large Corporations, Factories and Banks. We also provide Marine Service for those businesses that require River Boat Patrol and Marine Guards. Along with aforementioned services, GEB has also added an Electronic Alarm Division in our continued expansion program designed to provide full Electronic Monitoring and Armed Response Back-up services to our clients. This department has been in existence now for eight years and our Technicians are therefore highly trained and skilled. Our GE Interlogix Electronic Alarm Systems (USA) are rated the very best in high-tech Alarm Systems. GEB is the sole distributor in the Caribbean for GE Products. These systems incorporate Shock Sensors, Door/Window Sensors and In/Outdoor Infra-Red Beams for instant burglar detection, Smoke Sensors for initial fire detection, “Pendant” Panic Buttons which can be worn on the person or placed in strategic positions. Also included are Access Control Door Locks which can be activated either by “Code”, “Access Control Card” or “Button” also an Extensive Surveillance Camera System (Visible or concealed) with Monitors, among the best in the world with GE Interlogix intervention. All of the above are available in “wired and “wireless” versions. Surveys and

Quotations are prepared upon request. GEB’s 24-Hour Monitoring Service, is able to receive emergency signals from Alarm Systems. We can detect for our clients the exact location of an intrusion or fire and immediately dispatch our Armed Response Back-up Team or Guyana Fire Service. We can also be relied upon to elicit response from Impact, Police etc., whenever necessary depending on the circumstances or emergency.
GEB also has a “Special Operations Division” that essentially consists of specially selected and trained Agents functioning in plain clothes with appropriate communication equipment, armed or unarmed vehicle drivers male or female, prepared as additional protection for executives and members of their families.
GEB is also affiliated with the following companies … Guyana Chemical Products Ltd. (GCP), ReadyMix Concrete Ltd, SWIM Tours Coverden Marine Project (Eco Tourism in partnership with Ls Meridien Pegasus) Security Management Services (SMS) (Air Ambulance also Guard Training etc.), Marine Surveyors and Settling Agents as correspondents for the American Institute of Marine Underwriters – AMRECO) For further details on these companies please contact our Headquarters.
